Newport

Orange County coroner’s officials identified on Tuesday, Oct. 26, the two women and one man found dead inside a Newport Beach home on Balboa Island the day before.

They were identified as Andrew Adams, 43, and Desiree Temple, 43, both of Yorba Linda, and Samantha Haiman, 45, of Riverside.

Newport Beach officers responded to the home in the area of Diamond Avenue and Bay Front Alley South just before 8:30 a.m. after a fourth person, a man, called police, authorities said. He was hospitalized.

Officers went into the home and suspected fentanyl might be present and delayed examining the scene until a Fire Department hazardous-materials team determined it was safe for officers to do so.

Police have said they believe illegal drugs likely played a role in the deaths.

Further information, including whether fentanyl was found inside, had not been released by police.
